For that matter, what is wisdom? It actually can sound like a heavy word. This has been the case because people have been looking for something. The mind, while still sitting on a throne, needs to be convinced – and so the convincing process has continued heretofore. Has there not been a plethora of convincing? Ease, lightness, peace and tranquility are certainly not byproducts of convincing. Could true wisdom be found in the silly little man or woman sitting in the corner? A simple grin that says, “So what, relax! It’s all going to work out just fine.” But you don’t know what I’m working with. At best, no one really knows too much about anything. Wisdom doesn’t live in knowing; it lives in “Being.” But where does that leave me with all of these things that I am responsible for? Hmmm, that sounds like a pretty heavy question. What happened to ease, lightness, peace and tranquility? It is true that we may each be privileged to work with unique circumstances. But is it really a big job that we are here to do? The easiest opportunity in the world can be made difficult. “But the job has to be done right and that’s not so easy…” This is a part of the illusion that I (possibly we) have bought into in times past.
What does it actually mean to be at ease? Do you sense a shift with your Being as you entertain creating such a place of tranquility? Life is moving at a rate of speed that cannot and should not be attempted to be measured. The mind cannot relax – it can only be “available” – present! The wise man and woman are busy in the corner making funny faces. It’s not that they don’t take Life seriously – because making funny faces is serious stuff. It may be one of the most important things that we learned ones (and who would that be?) learn to do well!
These are the thoughts that are moving through me. I invite you to click on ‘comments ‘ and share your thoughts and experiences on this subject.
