Reportedly, a man walked amongst us over 2,000 years ago who was recognized by many as the Son of God. This One, of very special and specific Divine ancestry, reportedly made a strong statement that has been interpreted in different ways by different groups and individuals. The statement that this One made was: “I AM the Way, the Truth and the Life and no One comes to the Father but through me!” There is something very powerful about a statement such as this that contains no ambiguity. From what I have read of the Master’s teachings, none of it is ambiguous. Reportedly, the Master also said, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do…” OK, now take your living experience, your common sense, and Divine realization and consider these quotes together. Most Christian Religions have man asking Jesus for everything. The interpretation is that we are sinners who need Jesus to constantly bail us out of circumstances. But there is another relationship that the Master may very well have been inviting everyone to share. Because to create things in Life such as “greater works than these”…, One has to have an Identity that is no less than the Master himself held/has. The Master was referring to bringing forth miracles. As children of God, we are the Master’s brethren. The required Identity is made clear by the simple and completed identification with “I AM.” These words describe an absolute stance and an invitation to the Highest, to serve the Father. The Master clearly asserted that He that believeth in Him can and will do greater works than the miracles that man had witnessed.
Now, let’s really tie it all together. We know we really have to be at the top of our game (so to speak) to be doing truly great things in Life. You can’t go around and say negative things about yourself or anyone else. There are a few other parts to this outworking of living out the Master’s words that seem also to have to be in place. One is that I must know from the deepest experience of myself the strength of Being “I AM.” At the same time, I must know in my heart and remember very well that “I AM” to always consciously commune with the Spirit of the Master. This is the secret of actually filling out the complete expression “I AM.” It’s not asking for this and that of Him – it’s about Being so At-One with His Spirit that One lets Him act through US! There cannot be a separation in Identity. This is what confuses so many people. A relationship with the Master cannot include separation. If I feel separate from Him, I could never dream of doing greater works or anything of truly intrinsic value. I must know Him in my mind and heart to share in creatively generating from “I AM.”
These are the thoughts that are moving through me. I invite you to click on ‘comments ‘ and share your thoughts and experiences on this subject.

How beautifully you depict our true identity–Oneness with the Christ Spirit. The Master himself pointed to this experience and called all men (and women) unto him to share in it. Why has this not come to pass on earth? Is it because he was mistaken? …or perhaps because we are imperfectly designed? Of course not! The only reason that our experienced identity falls short of his absolute mark is because of our very own attitudes and choices.
“We move in the direction of our response.” I remember hearing these words back along the way and my living experience has rediscovered the truth to which they point. If I allow myself to look at Life as a glass half empty, my attitude will guide me in a direction which appears to be characterized by lacks. My focus will be on emptiness and my attitude of wanting what I perceive to be lacking will bring negative energy into the atmosphere surrounding me. In this state, people usually approach the Lord as if he were a Celestial Santa Claus, presenting him with a wish list of what they want to fill the void they experience in life. What a pitiful existence!
In contrast, if I focus my attention on what IS present in the glass of Life, regardless of how full or empty it appears, I am filled with gratitude for what IS, and that attitude will fill the atmosphere around me with positive, radiant energy. How little we appreciate that the direction of our feeling response, filled with gratitude or discontent, determines not only the direction in which we move but also the atmosphere which we carry with us. Creative energy and creative action flow naturally in an atmosphere of praise and thanksgiving.
If I truly love the Christ Spirit, I pay attention to it and care, initially, to emulate that Spirit in my expression. The result of consistent, genuine, feeling attention is attraction—movement in that direction—and eventually, union with the ‘target’ of our desire. Earthly love affairs give a pale imitation of this process, but definitely fall short of the mark. True spiritual attraction and love does bring spiritual intimacy, a deep exchange and communion, which at some point becomes union, because no barriers are allowed to interfere. For this to occur in a person’s experience, they must honor and value the Christ Spirit above everything, absolutely everything. Thus it is that a person comes to know the Christ Spirit through Oneness with it, and thus it is that the Christ I AM can come through that person into the world. We get to share in the expression of the Christ Love. Isn’t that what everyone on Earth is really longing for?
