When I find myself feeling all kinds of things that are not particularly comfortable, this is the time that my faith in the Creator needs to be strongest.
Now, as the Holiday Season’s of Christmas and Chanukah grow nearer, the interest in celebrating the Spirit of Love is very strong. But the Spirit of Love can be a tricky thing; if one is centered in anything else but Being an expression of Spirit! This is why the emotional realm of many people feels like they are pushed and pulled to and fro; with every feeling imaginable accompanied by such levity.
As one is focused on receiving things, they are in deep trouble. The greatest gift that one can experience is the gift of Being able to give and actually doing so! So, it’s simple, really! If you feeling a little glum, the solution is easy; as far as changing your feelings is concerned. Simply step out of your glum little chamber and do something for anyone. It doesn’t have to be a huge gift or act – just do something. As you’re doing that something, you will start to feel something new – something better. You begin to feel on purpose! In this regard, I would say that the most selfish people in life (from the standpoint of making themselves feel good) are the most selfless ones. They learned the secret of feeling good. They’re giving mongers! It just feels too good to stop!
There is another factor; however, we always need to give outward to life in balance with giving to ourselves and allowing ourselves to receive. But, again, the best gage is usually our inner emotional realm. Our heart signals our conscious when it’s time to step out and do some real giving! Bringing joy to your world through giving is a most spectacular thing. It might be as simple as offering a kind smile to another human being. Giving comes in all shapes and sizes!
Since most of spiritual understanding equates being charitable; with being part of the Lord’s plan, we really can’t miss by participating in the process.
True giving is also not done with strings attached. An old and dear friend of mine, who has long passed on, was a great one for giving very special gifts to people anonymously. His name was Terry Crane. I’ll always remember his beautiful spirit, in this regard.
As the true meaning of the name Jehovah is “God in action through man on Earth;” we can, again, realize the Lord’s plan through participation in the giving process, and particularly by “Being the gift” that comes forth through true Identity in expression!
