In Order To See Beyond The Image In The Mirror…
Though my testimony might only be formed from illusive perceptions, my experience of my perception suggests to me that, as I find myself in a (non reactive) state of stillness that; I can observation that which is present.
I find each day that I have more and more respect for the ability to stand still and simply observe everything. At one time, I believed that I knew much more than I actually did. It has been most relieving to begin to understand that very little, that really matters in life, can be measured by its quantity. In fact, the reliance on measuring (in and of itself) retains an illusive impetus.
Life’s design was well measured long before man tried to take over. Our intelligence really steps away, without the truth of itself (going backward or forward in time). So very little of life requires us to leave the present moment at all. As a matter of possibility, it may only have been mankind’s failure to stay “present” that created the parts of the world that seems to perpetuate man’s frequent departure from the present moment.
Keeping things simple is an art, in and of it self. I only know the truth of myself, through the simplicity of the present moment. Even as I peer at the reflection in the mirror, or at “the living mirror” of life, through seeing what is present around me, can I be still enough to truly see what is present? Or do the forms of things still own the intrinsic reactive tendencies of a state of mind? Surely, the answers to these questions are a growing, living, evolving, organic and ever changing reference of Being!
