For me, to stand in any place at all in the world; calls to my privilege of being alive! Sometimes, perhaps most of the time, I feel that I take it all for granted.

Occasionally, I have the honor of meeting and talking to older and wiser ones whom realize how much of life has gone by where it was forgotten how many opportunities passed by. A few old folks seem to live life with zeal and vigor; like they will never pass this way again.

Even fewer in number are the older ones that finally know a very peaceful joy. It’s seems to be a joy that is known within Self and gently eases forth into all circumstances. With such a person, there is a completeness known through their Being. Fortunately, this experience for me; is slowly becoming more than just an observed phenomenon through another. I find myself honoring this living wisdom and joyous poise to such an extent that my capacities adhere and adapt to its experience, understanding and expression.

Slowly, the intensity once experienced from challenging situations; gives way to understanding and appreciating the process of all things. There is still plenty in life to behold that contains excitement and healthy challenge. But the real challenge becomes something beyond each circumstance; having much more to do with the ability of bringing a understanding, welcoming, peace and joy to all things…

I suppose if I ever find myself in another life or death situation, where a stern stance is seemingly required, the outer equation could change. But the true resolve has to do with the inner calling and understanding of circumstances. The best overall results seem to come; in not reacting to anything in life. The most intelligent response comes from a non-reactive place of Being. This doesn’t mean that one never moves very quickly, and with strength, to handle certain situations. But it does mean that one’s mental, emotional and physical state should remain responsive to their true center of Being. Like a martial arts master that seems to move at light speed from his or her center of Being as they are able to stop an attacker with ease and grace. Life does sometimes have circumstances where we are attacked at many levels of our Being. These occurrences are wonderful opportunities to earn a deeper understanding of Being.

I am finding that my life continues to grow and transform, in each moment through my life’s circumstances and opportunities. I have heard it said that a person learns twice as much through their failures as they do through their victories. The way in which we handle our failures could indeed foster the truest meaning of the word victory!

The title to this blog entry represents the experiential place of Being that may allow more complete insight and vision. While one maybe aware of the waters of the world; with some of those waters seeming rather polluted, one also may realize that the ultimate “Feather of protection” can be one’s attitude with respect to all circumstances.

Spirit fosters the ultimate “Feather of protection.” The beautiful thing about “Feathers” or “Spirit” is that, they are connected to your body (in the case of actual feathers). Spirit, however, is connected to your whole Being! Inward and outward protection is continually present through our complete presence in Spirit!

We can take all of this out of context by trying to give examples where we felt that “Spirit” did not protect us literally. However, it is in the larger essence of protection, that I am addressing.

As I become more and more conscious, I realize that by my non-reactive presence; that all things usually seem to go much smoother while also allowing a more pleasant experience.

An example of how attitude (through compliance and non-reaction) makes a viable difference is available while observing at how tragedies, in the general sense, can remind us of how people can be when they work together for the common cause of resolve. Whether we observe the aftermath of 9/11 or devastation from hurricanes, people can find it most rewarding to help each other and their fellow man. The trick in life, however, is to still keep a balanced, peaceful (yet pointed) directive – even when the chips are not quite so visibly down.

Sure, many or most do great under emergency conditions. But our worlds are slowly collapsing by reason of our robotic reactionary methodologies of how we address circumstances that are not (almost literally) taking a bite out of someone!

Even our mainstream sciences are fixated on developing cures for diseases that were, and are, created from our collective sociological living (or existence) patterns. Our habitually created unhealthy worlds, which have manifested through a “reactionary consciousness,” build fortresses of denial while trying to escape having to change!

We each can choose to live in a healthier way. The knowledge for such is available and very natural. But it does call to our taking responsibility for every aspect of our world.

Can I presence myself through all circumstances to where I Am completely useful to life’s perfect design? This requires Being present and consciously available without reservations or agendas. I must learn to let distractions be removed from my focus and place of Being! This is true for each One!

Over the years, I have placed many people on pedestals (so to speak). As certain people have revealed remarkable aspects of creation or demonstrated extraordinary ways of Being, there has been a tendency of exalting them as individuals. However, the process of exaltation seems to often detour things from reality and actual creativity.

We set an imaginary bar very high, and as someone seems to raise that bar (even higher) through their creative endeavors, we are impressed by the appearance of it. What happens, in the situation, when the same person doesn’t seem to (any longer) measure up to our newly formed standards; which form expectations? It would seem that a person falling from a pedestal can employ as much injury (metaphorically speaking); as one could suffer falling from a high cliff!

There are also times that we are the ones that seem to fall from pedestals that others place us on. This experience of falling short, in relationship to other’s expectations, can alter one’s relationship with that person.

The key to not playing the victim role, of falling off of a pedestal created by another, or through having another falling off of the pedestal that you placed them on, calls to the removal of expectation and through understanding the sociological implication of expectations.

Each day, week, month and year that I live, I come closer to experiencing a living and proactive realization of observing and appreciating without expectation. It is a gray line that allows a full and passionate emersion into the living process, without drowning in a false and fantastic nature of expectation. To observe, derive understanding, and yet remain open, objective and creative without attachment requires the most conscious ability and availablity that is possible.

Declarations of imperfection or perfection, or of good or bad, are a subjective admissions, at best. We do well, to support each other and ourselves through the (moment to moment) living process without developing expectations and judgment. To truly live creatively requires a steadfast appreciation for the situations and opportunities at hand.

With my being almost a half a century old, I care less about trying to impress anyone than ever before. In fact, I find myself wanting to discuss things that I feel are important and light in nature or to discuss nothing at all. I am equally happy to be a part of the silence.

Things have greatly changed in my experience, from just a few years ago. I notice an intensity that seems to scurry some people about in mind; which can be observed through their communications and actions. The pace of things seems to have greatly increased. Even the speed by which younger people process information seems faster than I remember it being; just a decade or so ago.

What I call quietude seems like almost a vacuum to some others. Some people actually seem to need background noise to be able to quiet them down inside and focus. It’s almost seems as if part of their focus has to be held captive; just so they can relax. Much of the world seems to be spinning in a whirlwind and out of control. But there is also a futility that is emerging in consciousness to where people just want the craziness to stop. They sense that the human engine is traveling too fast and is way out of control. The speeding human consciousness is loosing sight of reality; as it has caused itself to be fixated on continuing down the same path into oblivion. It’s like a living car that feels it is traveling so fast that it cannot change its course without experiencing a lot of fear and exuding a tremendous effort.

Few seem to pause and acknowledge the affect of the escalated speed of traveling through life. Even fewer seem to realize the affect of our speeding through life on life itself. The simple and natural systems of Creation have been altered and damaged; as Creation has been forced to endure mankind’s inhuman nature.

But all of the insane compulsions that propel one on a fast forward path can cease; as we let that be so. There is a place that we each may return to that is complete, perfect and still. No one is disallowed to share in perfect peace. Once peace in felt and begins to be known, it can never be completely forgotten. Always remember the peace. It is within you!

I look back all of things that I have found myself doing, in my life, and I find myself amazed.  If this journey of mine was preplanned at some cosmic spiritual level, it must have taken much more than a linear understanding and vision.

There is one factor that seems to remain constant; in knowing the perfection of the alignment of capacities with Source (the Creator).  As no two moments are ever the same, authentic expression must always be made new to be in sink with Spirit.

To allow Spirit to reinvent who I Am has not always been an easy task, from the human standpoint.  But as I have learned, it is actually much easier let oneself be continuously reinvented versus trying to recreate from old forms and structures.  Each moment is new and actually unlike any other that ever came before.  The key to true alignment may begin to be understood; through this simple acknowledgement.

Life can seem to have similar appearances, from a previous time or cycle, but the form and factors are never actually the same.  Therefore, logically, we must let something new continuously appear.  Only fear of the unknown seems to hold me, or anyone, to previously experienced platforms that point toward a regurgitation and recreation of what one is or was accustomed to.

The greatest acquisition of all maybe in the allowance in consciousness of letting all things be made anew!

I was reminded today, after talking to an old “Emissary” friend of mine, that there are those who take the precious “Knowledge of Being” and simply let it be the fullness of their expression without trying to name it or draw attention to it.

My old friend’s name is Frank Campana.  I would not go so far to say that Frank was a “Hang out” buddy of mine.  But I did know his Spirit well and observed him as being a very consistent and hard working man that seemed to always keep himself consistently pointed.

I had an interesting experience, while talking on the phone with Frank.  He had gone to my blog and web sites and observed that I was providing some form of the spiritual work that he and I both knew well.  Actually, I felt a little strange because I sensed that Frank may have felt that I would measure what he was doing in his world as less than what I was doing.  However, if Frank were to know the truth about how I feel about it all, he would realize that I think that he has probably been much more consistent than I (over the years) with really “Living it.”

I was very impressed by the shinning of his Spirit.  Every word that he spoke was of the essence of “Unconquerable life prevails!”  So, hey Frank, if you get a chance to read some of what I write again, please know that I think you, and a few other steadfast “Keepers of the flame,” that really bring the Word to Life (through their work and their personal lives), are the ones that are most remarkable, and are the true teachers in Life.

To glimpse at most things, from a superficial standpoint, one can escape the factors of impetus!  We hear of the Iranian President speaking at Columbia University and the minds of society judgmentally analyze this outworking.  The fact is that life has things occur for reasons, which are often beyond linear understanding; is rarely thought as a possibility – let alone an axiom.  But the still, and learned, consciousness sees more than what a linear understanding give credence to!

If one were to approach conscious entertainment as a radiant outworking, than one could simple digest, in the instance of the Iranian President’s speaking engagement; that attention needs to be given to that which is emerging through this President or his country (Iran).  This does not suggest that this dictator/leader is functioning on all cylinders.  But the news, which is a reflection of the state of the human mind and emotional state, seems steadfast on questioning the intelligence and/or validity of everything.

Vibrationally, I would assert that the President of Iran just brought more to bare in his experience (and his countries) than he ever bargained for.  One cannot invite such levels of conscious entertainment without manifesting affect, from the standpoint of serendipity.  In this sense, I might also assert that serendipity might not answer, through its outworking, in favor of this particular President or his country.  But we need to let life answer this outworking without our twisting it out of reality because of our lack of understanding and fears.

Idealistically, we claim that a person is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.  And yet, the circus of media’s sensationalistic approach to (just about everything) suggests that the sociological consciousness is steadfast with an air of judgment.  It is said that a chain is only as strong as its weakest link.  This analogy seems to prove itself out to the extent that it may metaphorically be able to be applied to most or all circumstances.  If we cannot get past our weakest self, we would do well to strengthen that which is weak, inclusively.

There is much to learn through allowing stillness to be present; to where we are able to begin to see the truth of Self!

September 22, 2007: 6:54 pm: StuartMy Word

Occasionally, I find myself coming in and out of a space that is seated in a place (metaphysically speaking) that transcends everything that is happening, in the world of form.  It is where yesterday and tomorrow seems to disappear into a place that realizes no presence.  It’s a place where thoughts and aspirations forgive themselves into an open space.

The world thinks in terms of destiny and purpose and yet, in each moment, is only completed by itself.  How can a person complete their destiny beyond the surrendering of their capacities to be fully present?

Man has made up his own rules, and has gregariously set forth to support his or her own interests.  This mode of thinking and operating is characteristic of being unconscious and unavailable to life as it was created by its Creator.

So much thought can be given; as we adjust in response to worldly activities.  A baseball player is told to “Keep the eye on the ball!”  And yet, there is (metaphorically speaking) a larger ball to address in every moment.  It is the ball called “Life.”

If there is a larger purpose and true destiny in life, its intrinsic composition would logically require that we remain conscious and present.  It would seem that less than allowing one’s full participation, through consciousness and presence, could only delay the discovery (in each moment) of whatever our true purpose is.

September 20, 2007: 7:43 pm: StuartMy Word

I see people caring for each another; as the scurry of human activity slows down to almost a creeping halt.  The human based goals of achievement and acquisition begin to disappear into their deferred agenda’s.  People are soon to be left with the bareness of what is real and true; only to be appreciated through the context of love and natural expression.

The last dollar of man is spent; through his efforts of trying to dogmatically remove himself from being responsible for his participation in the obliteration of that which was natural and true to life’s purpose.  The highest courts in the lands of man are scattered into the seas of true realization.  Lies that were upheld through false and superficial draconian powers of leadership loose their hold on mankind’s world.  The truth begins to be known in mankind’s experience, once again.

The waters rise, as the temperatures increase; symbolizing that truth shall be known “once again” through the power of love.  The Earth is transformed to offer a new anchoring and facilitation for life; while in Attunement with its Creator.

September 16, 2007: 8:56 am: StuartMy Word

If there is anything that allows transformation to take place, it is through the humble realization that I, not only created and/or co-created everything; but I am also responsible for results continually.  However, responsibility does not call for one to try and control circumstances.  Taking responsibility actually calls to the surrendering to higher purpose and understanding.  It is the willingness to be a vehicle for God and His life for higher purpose.

It is a humble person that allows him or herself to do life’s work (God’s work).  This is not (necessarily) soli directed through functions of ministry work.  No, actually ministry work, as it relates to church and other servant like vocations; provides a very protected and simple platform for enlightened expression.  However, when one takes their enlightenment and really put it to the worldly test, that’s when you find out how deep a person’s conviction is.

Years ago, I bought a gift for my mother in the form of prose written on a white colored marble slab with these words written on it:

“The Art of Living

The art of living does not consist in preserving and clinging to a particular mood of happiness, but in allowing happiness to change its form without being disappointed by the change; for happiness, like a child, must be allowed to grow up.”

C. L. Morgan

These words apply to every conceivable situation in life.  As one begins to find themselves having to work with challenging circumstances, the joy of opportunity can still be present; allowing the greatest outcome to come forth; through the opportunity.

Christ, Himself, taught us to do one thing and one thing only – to bring the Light – to be the Light!  It is sometimes challenging, but always a delight, to take responsibility for all of the circumstances at hand.  This is where the work is really done!
