These days, I find myself meditating in the simplest of ways.  Today, I find myself with the vision of a blade of grass that’s piercing through a rock formation.  It’s quite a miraculous outworking from the standpoint of Creation.

The growth of the blade of grass causes me to think about what took place beneath the rock; in so far as the roots and its feeding are concerned.  In the dark, and rather damp and dirty Earth, the roots of the plant feed on the nutrients and sustenance held within.  As the growth ensues, the top part of the plant (while also requiring light) grows in the direction of the light’s source (the sun).  And so, in the pursuit of seeking the light the (seemingly) delicate blade of grass has the fortitude of being able to push through some rather solid and massive objects.

This Creative Process can be looked at through several analogous and paralleled applications.  The incredible organizational components of the Creative Process seem to come to mind first.  But, what also comes to mind is the source of the nutrients, and how essential the things that live in the shadowed and dark areas of life actually are.

A human Being always has an opportunity to allow the organization of elements from every real part of there life, through the Creative Process, to rise up into the Light!  But it is also important to always have One’s roots reaching down deep into the Earth to nurture and feast upon the richness of the Earth!
