Years ago, I wrote a poem entitled, “Living My Word.”

Living My Word

It’s all of the things, I have chosen to say.
It’s all the promises I’ve given, or when I pray.
Whether wealth is rampant, or nearing the end,
It holds my true worth, as they’re given I send;
The message to all of what life means to me.
It’s living my word that life wants to see!

I have been thinking about what it means to live in integrity.  In spiritual terms we talk about a Heaven and an Earth and how we bring things into form through our thoughts, words and actions.  It’s actually, rightfully, a simple outworking.  A simple thought that hosts well-being articulated through words; are then manifested into the Earth.

Within the context of consciousness (the Heaven) we can allow the words and action to reflect the same (the Heaven into the Earth).  But in this outworking, I Am responsible to not forget the Heaven that I took responsibility to declare unto the world.  It would also seem that hell can also be declared through its conscious container.  I can spew words from a hellacious consciousness; while manifesting it through hellacious action.  But I also can start from a seemingly “Heavenly” place in consciousness, but not allow its follow through into the Earth.  In other words, I Am responsible to do more than talk a good game, if my words are truly going to result in a “Heavenly” outworking!  And so, “Living My Word” becomes essential.  If there is any lesson in life worth remembering well, it is surely this one…
